Takedown Policy: Protecting Creators’ Rights at AskExclusive
Last Updated: June 26, 2025
Hi, I’m Elena, founder of AskExclusive. As an artist myself, I take intellectual property rights seriously. This policy explains how we handle infringement claims – the same way I’d want my own artwork protected.
1. Straightforward Definitions
- Working Days: Monday-Friday (excluding holidays)
- Infringing Content: Any material on our site that allegedly violates copyrights
- Notice: Your formal complaint about suspected infringement
- IP Rights: Copyrights, trademarks, design rights, and other creative protections
2. How to Report Issues
If you believe any coloring page violates your rights:
Email us at hello@askexclusive.com with:
- Your full legal name and contact details (phone/email)
- Specific URL(s) of the problematic content
- Detailed description of the infringement (e.g., “This floral design copies my 2022 portfolio piece ‘Desert Blooms'”)
- Proof of ownership (registration numbers, original files, or publication dates)
- This statement: “I swear under penalty of perjury that this notice is accurate and I’m authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.”
3. Our Human Review Process
Here’s what happens after you email us:
- We’ll acknowledge receipt within 2 working days (usually same-day)
- Elena personally reviews every claim within 72 hours
- If your claim seems valid, we’ll immediately remove the content while investigating
- We’ll contact the submitting artist for their perspective
- For complex cases, we consult our IP attorney (Sarah Chen)
4. Fair Resolution Approach
We aim to resolve issues within 14 days. Possible outcomes:
- Content restored (if claim is unsubstantiated)
- Permanent removal of infringing material
- Modified version created (if partial infringement exists)
- Licensing agreement negotiated (with your approval)
- Full attribution added where oversight occurred
5. Important Notes
- We maintain physical records of all takedown requests for 3 years
- Repeat offenders have accounts terminated
- Fraudulent claims may incur legal costs
- We never require NDAs for standard takedowns
Policy Updates
When we make changes:
- Major revisions get emailed to registered users
- We update the date at the top of this page
- Previous versions remain archived for transparency
